The focus of Mother Earth is discourse and storytelling, ideas and reflections; publication will be determined by the content of the work submitted, not the name or resume of the person submitting. Familiarize yourself with the nature of this publication by reading the content of this website, or free and publicly available writing by Emma Goldman. If you are compelled by Mother Earth to speak, we want to hear from you, even if you are not a professional writer, artist, or intellectual, regardless of whether you have previously been published.
Submissions should include the title(s) of your work, the name that you would like to use for publication, any context you wish to provide, and, optionally, a brief bio.
If you would like a copy of the printed issue, please include a mailing address.
Mother Earth committee
The Mother Earth Committee will be comprised of members who have educated passion or scholarship for the life and/or historical context of Emma Goldman, political or social sciences, cultural studies, the arts and letters, or who bring specific expertise or skills to contribute to the selection and editing of Mother Earth content, or the planning and mechanics of its production and distribution.
The intent of the committee is to maintain fidelity to the facts of Emma Goldman’s life and legacy, while encouraging interpretations that bring the spirit of her work to life and inspire a new movement of like-minded thinkers and activists to engage in deep reflection, contemplation, and critique.
Mother Earth Committee members will select historical works from Emma Goldman to be re-published in current issues, debate and determine prompts and themes, review submissions, edit the publication manuscript, and plan for its production and distribution.
